Part 1 - Principles of Ethics
Personnel must behave in accordance to the following general ethical principles
- Uphold righteousness, honesty, and responsibility towards one's duty.
- Carry out one's duty with justice and transparency. Do not condone bias or favoritism, unless the policy was established to facilitate work or affirmative action for disadvantaged persons.
- Accomplish one's task without compromising other people's rights.
Part 2 - Ethics for Oneself and Profession
Personnel must uphold the following ethical principles for oneself and one's profession
- Uphold morality and righteousness. Carry out one's duty effectively and efficiently, while taking into account the common interest of the public.
- Consistently better oneself in professionalism and be visionary about academic advances.
- Use one's profession to carry out the given duty with honesty. Do not, in any way, exploit one's professional position for own benefits.
- For professions that have official professional ethics, personnel must act in accordance to the established ethical codes.
Part 3 - Work and Organization Ethics
Personnel should behave in accordance to the following ethics for work and organization
- One's work should reflect the core values of the organization, which includes: justice, integrity, responsibility, transparency, and non-discrimination
- Carry out tasks to the best of one's capability. Dedicate oneself to improve the quality of the university toward the standards and regulations that are set
- Maintain and improve the reputation of the university. The resources and reputation of the university are not to be used for one's personal benefit. Improper use of university resources or conduct that may damage its reputation, is strictly prohibited.
Part 4 - Conduct toward one's executives, supervisors, colleagues, and subordinates
Staff should behave in accordance to the following ethics toward their executives, supervisors, colleagues, and subordinates:
- One should behave toward their executives, supervisors, colleagues, and subordinates with the principles of good governance
- One should treat their executives, supervisors, colleagues, and subordinates as they would like to be treated. One's action should not cause harm or damage, either directly or indirectly, toward their executives, supervisors, colleagues, and subordinates.
- One's behavior should set a good example for others, and should not obstruct university activities.
Part 5 - Ethics toward students, customers, other citizens, and society
Personnel should behave toward students, customers, other citizens, and society according to the following ethical principles:
- Set a credible and respectable standard for students, customers, other citizens, and society
- Carry out one's duty toward students, customers, other citizens, and society to the best of one's ability fairly while maintaining good rapport.
- Keep the information gathered from students, customers, and other citizens as a result of one's work confidential to prevent any potential harm or damage.
- Avoid any activities that may infringe or cause damage to students, customers, or any other citizens.
Part 6 - Ethics for Teachers
In addition to the above ethical principles, personnel with teaching duties must also conduct oneself in accordance with the following ethical principles:
- Adopt an attitude of life-long learning in order to improve the teaching process and ultimately, to improve the quality of study provided to students
- Make decisions based on students' best interests
- Improve students' potential and learning experience through the process of analysis and problem-solving, among other means based on the students' capabilities.
- Improve teaching activities to encourage students to find their preferred method of learning in which they can maximize their understanding to encourage an open learning mindset
- Evaluate and report the improvement of students in a fair and organized manner within a time frame that the university has set.
- Set a good example for the students in terms of personality, dress, behavior, speech, and morality in order to earn their respect.
