This course is oldest course offered at our Faculty. With almost 30 years of experience teaching and training doctors, the preclinical portion of this course has evolved to a systems-based course integrating all aspects of each organ system including anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and microbiology. Innovative learning techniques such as problem-based learning (PBL), team-based learning (TBL), and adequate self-study is provided to students. Laboratory work is emphasized in component of the course. In the anatomy components, human cadavers are dissected. Students are evaluated with written exams, practical laboratory exams, and by their participation in learning activities.
During the clinical portion of this course, students attend clerkships in the major hospital departments including internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and orthopedic surgery. Other compulsory clerkships include radiology, psychiatry, community medicine, family medicine, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, anesthesiology, forensic medicine, and rehabilitation medicine. Clerkships are held at HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Medical Center, Panya Nanthaphikkhu Medical Center, and in our partner institutions at Vajira Hospital, Police General Hospital, Nopparat Rajathanee Hospital, Samutprakarn Hospital, King Narai Hospital, and local Ministry of Public Health hospitals in Ayutthya and Nakhon Nayok provinces. Students are able to attend electives rotations both locally and internationally. Students are evaluated with written exams, objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs), and by their performance during the clerkship.

Credits: 250 credits
Eligibility: Thai citizens only. Applicants must have graduated or are expecting to graduate from high school with an emphasis on mathematics and science.
Career path after graduation: May practice as a physician in Thailand in both government and private sections conditional upon successful medical licensure by the Thai Medical Council.
May pursue postgraduate residency training.
