This course is oldest course offered at our Faculty. With almost 30 years of experience teaching and training doctors, the preclinical portion of this course has evolved to a systems-based course integrating all aspects of each organ system including anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and microbiology. Innovative learning techniques such as problem-based learning (PBL), team-based learning (TBL), and adequate self-study is provided to students. Laboratory work is emphasized in component of the course. In the anatomy components, human cadavers are dissected. Students are evaluated with written exams, practical laboratory exams, and by their participation in learning activities.

During the clinical portion of this course, students attend clerkships in the major hospital departments including internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and orthopedic surgery. Other compulsory clerkships include radiology, psychiatry, community medicine, family medicine, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, anesthesiology, forensic medicine, and rehabilitation medicine. Clerkships are held at HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Medical Center, Panya Nanthaphikkhu Medical Center, and in our partner institutions at Vajira Hospital, Police General Hospital, Nopparat Rajathanee Hospital, Samutprakarn Hospital, King Narai Hospital, and local Ministry of Public Health hospitals in Ayutthya and Nakhon Nayok provinces.
